Privacy
Short version: no accounts, no tracking cookies, we don't store what you type into the calculators, and we only count page views.
On this website
Calculations run in your browser. The numbers you enter appear in the page address so you can share a result. Amounts you enter on the History page are stored in your browser's local storage and never leave your device. Clear them from the History page or your browser settings.
Page views
We use Vercel Web Analytics to see how many people visit each page and where they come from. It doesn't use cookies, and we don't use it to identify you. It records the page visited, the site you came from, and rough details such as country, browser and device. The numbers you type into a calculator are left out: we strip them from the page address before anything is sent. Only a campaign tag, such as ?ref=threads on a shared link, is kept.
The API
API requests are processed in memory to return a result. Your IP address is held in memory for about a minute to limit request rates. Our hosting provider may keep standard request logs.
Feedback
When you send feedback, we receive your message, the topic you picked, the page you sent it from (you can remove it before sending) and your email address if you choose to give one. It arrives as an email, sent through our email provider, Mailgun, and is kept only as long as we need it to look into what you reported. Your email is used only to reply. Your IP address is held in memory for about ten minutes to limit how many messages can be sent. The form may show a Cloudflare Turnstile check, which Cloudflare uses to tell people from bots.
